Overview
- Looking for ideas for your kid's school holidays? This Melbourne activity will bring some colour to their day as they explore fluid art, also called pouring art or acrylic pouring. This is a fun and creative form of art and is accessible to all ages.
Children will be introduced to the wonder of fluid art where they can create beautiful, colourful pieces of artwork. In this class, we will do one fluid art painting on 30x40cm back stapled wrapped canvas (or similar) OR two smaller canvases.
Great art projects come out of every class but the style and activities may vary! No experience is needed and is completely beginner friendly for every kind of creative kid out there.
- Tuesday 14th January: Make marble patterns by rolling a marble through puddles of paint (or a ring pour or ribbon pour if you prefer)
- Thursday 23rd January: Use a hair dryer to create flowing paint patterns (or another technique as negotiated).
Experienced teacher Julie will support your kids through their vibrant journey of acrylic pouring. Julie has a current Working with Children Check, Police Check and NDIS screening check. You can be at ease knowing your child/ren are in caring, professional and qualified hands.
Please Note:
Parents/carers may stay as Participants (only one per child - book an extra ticket), observers or helpers, but this is not required unless your child needs individualised support. (Please let us know if you want to stay in the checkout comments.) If your child is not able to follow instructions or needs more support than one staff to eight children can provide, then please discuss this with Julie prior to booking.
Fluid art needs to lie flat to dry, so it cannot be taken home on the day. It can be picked up from the studio in one to three days’ time.
Participants are provided with all supplies provided including non-toxic acrylic paint, pouring medium, gloves, apron, cups, tools, small canvas, painter's tape, and scissors.
Drinking water will be provided.
