We specialise in character development, focusing on empowering students to unleash their full potential using martial arts to develop self-confidence, increase physical fitness & learn valuable leadership skills.

We pride ourselves on delivering reality-based self-defence skills to keep you and your family safe.

We teach traditional Japanese Kyokushin Karate, Self Defence. Strong on tradition, boosting self confidence and developing self defence. We teach beginners to advanced students, including children and adults from the ages of 3 and up. Our classes are suitable for all fitness levels.

CLASS STRUCTURE

After a complete stretch and warm up, we move right into basic training. Classes begin with punches, strikes and blocks. Then the class moves onto legwork, in addition to kicking skills. Techniques are practised in basic stances, and in fighting styles.

The instructor pairs off students into partners. Partners employ these movements in a natural setting. A variety of opponents utilise focus mitts and pads and pre-set block and attack principles. This develops strength, speed and reaction timing for unforeseen situations. We finish with a cool down. Employing stretching and calisthenics before concluding with a calming meditation period to close the class.

The physical training involved in Kyokushin Karate develops strength, co-ordination, stamina, balance, power and increases flexibility. Kyokushin Karate is a no-nonsense Martial Arts that focuses on character development, physical fitness and practical self-defence.
