SDA (Studio Dance Academy) is a welcoming, family-friendly performing arts studio in Kings Park, serving Marayong, Blacktown, Quakers Hill, Kings Langley, and surrounding suburbs.
Founded in 2009 by Christa Anthony, a local counsellor with a passion for dance, SDA was created to offer children and young people a safe, supportive environment to explore the joy of dance. Christa’s vision has grown SDA from a simple dance studio into a comprehensive performing arts academy, now offering a wide range of classes for all ages and skill levels, including adults and individuals with special needs.
Christa believes in a holistic approach to teaching, where students' emotional well-being is as important as their artistic development. SDA’s classes in dance, acrobatics, and other performing arts are designed to build self-esteem, confidence, and resilience, empowering students with skills that extend beyond the studio. Each class is guided by qualified and compassionate instructors, ensuring students receive a high standard of training that supports their personal growth and potential.
SDA is affiliated with reputable dance organisations such as the Acrobatic Dance Association, Australasian Dance Australia, and the British Ballet Organisation. With full insurance coverage and experienced, certified teachers, SDA is committed to maintaining a safe, professional environment.
Under Miss Christa’s mentorship, many students have achieved outstanding exam results and some have even earned teaching certification. SDA’s true measure of success is in seeing students develop as dancers and as confident, responsible individuals. Whether it’s through weekly classes or preparing for exams, SDA is dedicated to nurturing each student’s love for performing arts and supporting their journey to success.
