Leisa's Music Place presents Kindermusik

Kindermusik is a classroom learning experience for children aged 0 to 7 years. We teach children music so they can become better learners. It's about developing skills for the whole child - cognitive, physical, social, emotional, language and musical.

You're here because you love your child. You want to give them the best possible beginning in the world. And you'd love to know what's going on inside that wonderful little mind. You came to the right place.

OUR CLASSES

⭐ Foundations (0 - 18 Months)

In a Kindermusik Village class, we take those special bonding moments between you and your baby and add in a unique blend of musical learning activities that stimulate and engage all of the senses. Your educator will teach you how to encourage your baby's learning through vocal play, object exploration, instruments, and creative movement.

⭐ Level 2 (1.5 - 3 Years)

Kindermusik Our Time encourages her to be creative, to initiate her own ideas and to respond in her own ways, while your active participation gives her the security she needs. As you play instruments, sing, move, and explore, you'll uncover an engaging musical world while building your child's confidence, self-control and communications skills.

⭐ Level 3 (3 - 5 Years)

Using the power of music, Kindermusik's Imagine That! taps into your preschooler's creative spirit and boundless energy and focuses on developing his learning strengths and self-confidence so he'll be ready for school, prepared for future music lessons... or able to leap tall buildings.

⭐ Levels 4 & 5 (4.5 - 7 Years)

The program is designed to prepare the young child who is eager for first experiences with musical symbols and instrument discovery but is not yet ready for formal lessons and traditional music reading with an instrument. Parents or caregivers are encouraged to attend the last 10-15 minutes of class.

ABOUT LEISA

Leisa is one of Australia's leading Kindermusik educators. Leisa's Music Place has been ranked in the top 5% of Kindermusik studios worldwide. Leisa lives in Highfields and runs classes from her home, as well as in her studio at the Newtown Shopping Centre in Toowoomba.

⭐ Leisa is a qualified Primary School Teacher

Leisa has a Diploma of Teaching (Primary) and a Bachelor of Education. She has 10 years classroom teaching experience both locally and in Scotland.

⭐ Leisa is an accomplished musician

Leisa has achieved AMEB 6th grade piano and 5th grade theory. She has sung in many choirs including the Queensland Youth Choir and has also sung professionally as a soloist.

Why Leisa loves Kindermusik?

Leisa's first experience of Kindermusik was as a first time mother taking her baby to Village classes. She found it a fabulous and fun way to connect with her child and with other like-minded parents. As a teacher, she could see the amazing brain, social and physical development opportunities Kindermusik provided. As a musician she loved the foundations of music she could see happening.

Leisa has four children who have all completed the Kindermusik program and continue to be involved in the arts through instrumental lessons, choirs and theatrical productions.

Leisa became licensed as a Kindermusik educator so she could continue to provide the extraordinary experience of Kindermusik to other families. She has witnessed remarkable growth in the children in her classes. Leisa LOVES seeing families enjoy the bonding and learning that happens naturally with Kindermusik.
