Looking for Drama classes in Canberra?

Canberra Youth Theatre is one of the leading youth arts organisations in Australia, with a 53-year history of supporting young people to flourish. This is where creative kids belong.

Our weekly Ensembles program brings young people together to think imaginatively, express themselves artistically, and discover the joys of performance. These weekly after-school workshops are open to young artists of all skill levels, from school years 1 to 12.

We also run popular Holiday Programs during school holidays throughout the year, as well as many other opportunities to get involved.

Our workshops provide young people with the tools they need for all areas of life, including teamwork, communication, resilience, creativity and confidence. Young people who participate in theatre gain a better understanding of their emotions, and a surer sense of their place in the world.

We offer trials for new participants, to allow them to try a workshop before having to commit to the whole term. We also offer flexible payment plans, and bursaries to assist with financial hardship, to ensure that every child can access the benefits of theatre.
