Hi, I'm Janice 🌟 and I am a passionate abstract and intuitive artist and Early Childhood Educator at a prominent eastern suburbs preschool. I conduct children’s art classes 🎨 during the term as well as holiday art workshops from my home garden studio. My workshops open opportunities for young people to embrace their own creativity by making unique artworks in a calm yet fun environment. I am now also offering art classes for adult.

Participants will be taught to express themselves creatively and in tune with their instincts and emotions through colour, symbols, and mark-making. As art is subjective we will drop into rich creative exploration and focus on the journey rather than just the result.

The main creative focus in classes is tuning into children's interests, helping them to connect to nature and to follow their own curiosity. I suggest various ways to tap into innovational imagination where participants are encouraged to explore the connections between their inner selves and the natural world.

I share creativity with children, planting a creative seed of wonder into their world. In previous years I have facilitated classes for children in cooking and yoga and am very comfortable connecting with and guiding children.

Currently I explore with acrylic and mixed media in my own art practice. My expressionistic and intuitive explorations transfer to my teaching style, allowing children to openly explore through enquiry.

I sell my own original artworks and prints in some Sydney galleries and on www.janiceeliovson.com
