Whether your child is taking their very first steps into martial arts or already has experience, Equinox offers something for everyone—from energetic pre-schoolers to determined teens. We specialise in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ), Mixed Martial Arts (MMA), and Muay Thai, all taught in a safe, structured, and supportive environment by experienced instructors who love what they do.
Our Kids & Teens Martial Arts Programs:
👶 Pre-Schoolers (Ages 3–4) – With Parents
A playful introduction to martial arts where parents join in the fun! These 45-minute classes build coordination, confidence and connection, all through engaging games, movement, and basic techniques.
🎈 Intro to Martial Arts (Ages 5–6)
Kids are introduced to striking and grappling through fun drills and games. They'll gain physical fitness, learn self-defence basics, and develop key life skills like focus, resilience and discipline.
🥋 Kids BJJ (Ages 7–9)
In our Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu classes, kids learn to control and escape positions, apply safe submissions, and build strong bodies and minds. We also help them handle bullying confidently and respectfully.
💪 Teens BJJ (Ages 10+)
With a focus on technique and self-defence, teens get a full-body workout while learning BJJ’s core principles: control, calmness and confidence. Expect growth in resilience, self-belief, and respect.
🥊 MMA for Kids & Teens (Ages 7–9 & 10+)
A blend of striking and grappling arts, these classes are exciting, challenging and safe. Through partner drills, technique training and light sparring, kids improve their agility, strength, and self-assurance.
🦶 Muay Thai for Kids & Teens (Ages 7–9 & 10+)
From punches to powerful kicks, Muay Thai teaches striking techniques in a fun, fitness-focused setting. Kids develop cardio strength, discipline, and the respect that’s central to martial arts.
