The AKF is a member of the World Karate Federation (WKF), which is recognised by the International Olympic Committee.

🌱 About Yoseikan-Ryu Karate

Yoseikan-Ryu Karate (養正館流空手 – “House of Honesty and Education”) is a variant of Shotokan Karate taught at the Yoseikan Dojo in Shizuoka, Japan, under Minoru Mochizuki (1907–2003). Mochizuki trained directly under Gichin Funakoshi, the founder of modern karate, and later developed Yoseikan Budo, blending karate with aikido, judo, jujutsu, kobudo, iaido, kendo, and more.

Our style continues this tradition, incorporating modern self-defence techniques suited to today’s world.

👨‍🏫 Leadership

The Chief Instructor for Yoseikan in Australia is Branco Bratich, 9th Dan, who has built Yoseikan-Ryu Karate into an Australia-wide organisation since opening his first club in 1978. With his senior instructors, Branco ensures the highest standards of teaching and training.
