At Wollemi Hills, it is our intention to teach you everything from the ground up. We believe along with riding your horse well it is super important to learn how to manage your horse with confidence and care on the ground.

ABOUT US

The property has been in the Riley family for the last 3 decades nestled in the beautiful mountains of the Wollemi National Park. We ventured on a journey to start a riding school in March 2018 which has grown more than we could’ve anticipated.

Learning not just how to ride but how to work with your horse on the ground, overcome problems, build confidence and create a true understanding of how horses work is crucial to your adventure with horses. I (Aleana) have experienced first hand the frustrations that can come with owning a horse, learning to ride and growing through confidence issues. After having a minor fall in my early years of riding, it taught me the importance of knowing how horses work, to respect their strength and work with their energy instead of against it. It encouraged me to slow down and take more notice of horses and their movements, personality and behaviour patterns. Patience grows and you become more self-aware as you realise you have more of an effect on horses then you may think.
