Western Sydney Music School

Established in 2008, Western Sydney Music School (WSMS) has over 10 years of experience in training and inspiring generations of musicians at all ages. It all started with the school’s principal and her vision to revolutionise music education and nurture the passion for music.

Dr. Tanya Nguyen has a unique training background, having experienced musical cultures in the UK, US, Russia, Japan and Australia. Her skills in teaching and training have been tested for over 30 years across some of world’s leading music institutions like the Moscow Tchaikovsky Conservatory, Royal Academy of Music and University of New South Wales.

Recognising her distinguished expertise; the over-1oo-year-old Australian Music Examinations Board has appointed her an international examiner. Furthermore, she has been appointed the Ambassador of Australia’s most renowned musical examination body to Vietnam.

Since then, the school has constantly grown and flourished through the efforts of highly qualified teachers. WSMS has a 98% rate of students scoring an A or A+ at professional music examination. Many of the school’s very own students have progressed to become talented performers around the world or even teachers at the very school that taught them.
