🌟 Our Mission

At Five Dock Dojo, our mission is to improve the lives of every student who walks through our doors. We achieve this by teaching the virtues of martial arts alongside the diligent study of Kihon (basics), Kata (forms), and Kumite (sparring). Karate-do is more than just self-defence – it’s a lifelong journey of discipline, respect, and character development.

🧒 Karate4Kids

Our Karate4Kids program is designed to bring out the best in every child. Weekly classes include stretching, strength, stamina, and aerobic fitness through karate training. Qualified instructors guide students as they progress, helping them learn respect, discipline, and the importance of setting and achieving goals.

Children develop confidence, resilience, and an understanding that effort equals reward. They also learn that aggression and poor behaviour are never acceptable. Through karate, kids gain inner calm, fortitude, and respect for themselves and others – skills that will benefit them for life.

Located in the City of Canada Bay, TSKF Five Dock Dojo is part of the Traditional Shotokan Karate Federation Australia (TSKFA), a respected organisation with over 30 dojos and more than 1200 members nationwide. With over 45 years of history, TSKFA is led by Chief Instructor Takahashi Shihan OAM, whose dedication has fostered a culture of excellence across Australia.

Our dojo sits on the beautiful Bay Run foreshores at Rodd Point, offering one of the finest views from any training floor. We run weekly classes for juniors and adults, catering to beginners, intermediate, and advanced karateka.
