Track Youth Theatre Inc

🎭 About us

Since 1980, Track Youth Theatre has been inspiring young people in Melbourne through the magic of stagecraft and acting. With over forty years of productions, including the much‑loved 2025 musical Midsummer Magic, Track has become a creative home for children and teens to explore theatre, build confidence, and make lifelong friends. Founded by the late Ed Bailey OAM, Track continues his legacy of joy, humour, and community, offering a welcoming space where every child can shine—no auditions required.

🌟 Our Mission

We believe theatre is more than performance—it’s a pathway to life skills. Track helps children develop self‑esteem, respect for others, teamwork, and confidence in front of groups. Our mission is to nurture creativity and resilience, ensuring every child feels valued and capable, whether they pursue theatre professionally or simply enjoy the experience.

🎶 Our Programs

* Workshops – Weekly sessions at Hawthorn Arts Centre where juniors (Years 4–7) and teens (Years 8–10) learn stagecraft, acting, improvisation, and bonding activities.

* Rehearsals – From May to September, both groups come together for Sunday rehearsals, preparing for the annual musical production.

* Productions – Every child has a role, with juniors forming the chorus and teens taking lead parts. Performances are filled with music, dance, humour, and creativity, giving young people the thrill of being on stage.
