Sydney Robotics Academy

Through fostering logical thinking abilities, focusing on the application of knowledge and participating in national and international competitions, Sydney Robotics Academy aims to develop all-round students of the 21st century who are highly motivated, forward-looking and future-ready.

VEX ROBOTICS

VEX Robotics is a programme developed in the United States. It is supported by NASA, California State University, Carnegie Mellon University, MIT and the Robotics Society of Southern California.

The VEX Robotics Competition organised by the Robotics Education and Competition Foundation seeks to inspire millions of students around the world to pursue STEM education and STEM career paths. The VEX Robotics World Championship attracts thousands of young people around the world and more than 90,000 participants take part in this event annually. It is one of the most prominent events in the field of robotics and even holds the Guinness World Record for the largest robotics competition ever held.

OUR PROGRAMS

★ Competition Training

Students who perform well in term lessons may be invited to join competition teams and enrol in the intensive competition training courses. These courses are designed to ensure that students are able to compete in high-level competitions.

Training programs are generally run before or throughout a competition period. Therefore, these courses might only be running for a few months every year at specific times.

★ Holiday Camps

Holiday camps are run during school holidays over continuous days. This unique lesson structure allows students to better retain information learnt from previous classes and allows students to socialise whilst learning together with other students.

During these camps our students are able to have fun whilst learning new skills. Students are often rewarded with prizes and gifts throughout the camp.

These camps are usually run for three to five days during school holidays.

At Sydney Robotics Academy, our students learn a variety of key concepts for engineering and robotics. They have the opportunity to build a variety of products themselves, and are able to compete with each other on our competition fields.
