What do we do?
The Sutherland District Basketball Association (SDBA) is a non-profit organisation that runs over 3500 basketball games per year, from Miniball through to Juniors, Seniors and Unisex Competitions.
Our Association aims to provide all community members with the opportunity to participate in both domestic and representative basketball in a safe, friendly and competitive environment and offer opportunities for people of all ages to learn to play, referee, coach and volunteer.
LEARN TO PLAY CLASSES
Sutherland Basketball Association’s Development (Learn to Play) classes are designed for 5 – 12-year olds and are set in a fun and inclusive basketball environment for children of all abilities. The weekly program is designed to learn the fundamental skills of basketball through warm up games, skill activities and modified game play, all delivered by SDBA accredited coaches.
Class Types:
★ Aussie Hoops – for beginner players, girls or boys , aged between 5 – 10 years old (Tuesday Only)
★ Learn to Play– for beginner players , girls or boys , aged between 5 – 12 years old (Tuesday or Saturday)
★ Pinkball – for beginner players , girls only, aged between 5 – 12 years old ( Saturday only)
We offer a wide variety of comps (local senior and junior, wheelchair and representative teams), training programs and events available @ the stadium.
