SJJA is a world-class Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu academy founded by BJJ World Champion Bruno Alves. Modelled on the training and fitness regime of a professional athlete, SJJA blends self-defence with functional fitness, giving students of all ages and fitness levels the chance to learn the world’s most effective martial art while enjoying a full-body workout in a supportive team environment.

Our Kids Program helps children grow into motivated, confident, and compassionate individuals. With coaches acting as mentors, kids learn self-defence, build resilience, and discover untapped strength—all while having fun and making friends.

⭐ Beginners Program

The Fundamentals Program is the perfect starting point for anyone new to Jiu-Jitsu. No prior experience is needed—just a willingness to learn. Students gain confidence, fitness, and essential self-defence skills while building a strong foundation for their martial arts journey.

⭐ Advanced Program

For those ready to take their training further, the Advanced Program develops speed, reflexes, and higher-level techniques. Students explore Jiu-Jitsu in depth, incorporating concepts from wrestling, judo, and sambo, while testing their skills against more experienced opponents.

⭐ Women’s Program

Designed by World Champion Brown Belt instructor Samantha Grevet, this program empowers women through realistic self-defence drills and fitness training. It’s a safe, supportive space where women of all ages can build confidence and strength.
