Sewing Time

At Sewing Time we’re all about nurturing the creative genius we know lies within us all. We love to see our students develop their skills, confidence and creativity through our sewing classes. Teaching a new generation of sewists this timeless life skill and sharing in the joy of their accomplishments brings big smiles to our faces.

TERM CLASSES

Classes for Children (from 7 years) and Teens are scheduled during school terms and held after school in our studio. Our students follow a specially designed curriculum to teach them fundamental sewing skills across a range of fun, fashionable and practical projects that will leave you amazed at their creative talent. Our classes are fantastic social outlets, helping to develop key life skills and growing personal confidence.

HOLIDAY WORKSHOPS

We hold fun and fashionable school holiday workshops. We will teach your child how to make their sewing project, ready to take home at the end of the workshop.

We always offer a range of different projects that are on-trend and seasonally appropriate. Our holiday workshops are lots of fun and the children get so excited seeing their projects come together. It never ceases to amaze us what they can achieve while having such a great time!

OUR STUDENTS LEARN HOW TO:

- Use a sewing machine

- Identify and use sewing tools appropriate to various tasks

- Cut basic patterns and learn different seam constructions and sewing applications relevant to our sewing projects

- Plan a design and construct their work

- Sew a variety of items, from simple accessories to fashion to homeware pieces
