Richo's Drum Lessons Gold Coast

Private, one-on-one drum lessons on the Gold Coast for kids, beginners and adults — tailored, confidence-building and taught in a safe, supportive environment.

Richo’s Drum Lessons on the Gold Coast provide a warm, supportive and confidence-building way for kids, beginners and adults to learn drums through private, one-on-one lessons. Whether your child is discovering music for the first time, you’re a complete beginner, or you’re returning to drumming after a break, lessons are designed to feel relaxed, enjoyable and encouraging — never rushed or intimidating.

Each lesson is carefully tailored to the student’s age, ability and personal goals, allowing everyone to progress at their own pace. Children enjoy fun, structured sessions that build rhythm, coordination and focus, while beginners learn the basics properly from day one. Adults appreciate learning music they enjoy, without pressure or comparison, making lessons both rewarding and stress-relieving.

Creating a safe and comfortable learning environment is a top priority for families. Richo holds a current Queensland Blue Card and teaches in a calm, respectful space where students feel supported. Lessons are always age-appropriate and positively focused, and parents are welcome to stay, watch or remain nearby during their child’s lesson, especially in the early stages.

Students learn practical drumming skills including timing, rhythm, coordination, beats and fills, and playing along with music in styles such as rock, pop and funk. Music reading is available but never forced, keeping lessons accessible and enjoyable for all learning styles.

With flexible lesson lengths, a convenient Gold Coast location and limited spots to ensure personal attention, Richo’s Drum Lessons are a trusted choice for families seeking quality music education. Led by an experienced performer and teacher, lessons focus on building confidence, skills and a lifelong love of music — at any age.
