Prima Ballet Academy

🩰 About Us

Prima Ballet Academy is Hobart’s premier ballet school, offering classical ballet training for children (18 months+) and adults. We are one of the only schools in the region that guarantees every student is taught by a fully qualified Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) teacher, ensuring the highest standards of technique, safety, and professionalism.

👶 Children’s Ballet

From toddlers to teens, our classes nurture confidence, discipline, and creativity in a fun, supportive environment. We focus on classical ballet only, so children can enjoy learning without the pressure of juggling multiple dance styles.

💃 Adult Ballet

Whether you’re a beginner or returning to dance, our adult classes provide a welcoming space to improve technique, fitness, and artistry while enjoying the beauty of ballet.

🏡 Our Studio

Located in a bright, sun‑filled space with sprung floors, mirrors, and a relaxed waiting area, our academy offers a warm and inviting atmosphere for both students and parents.

🎓 Exams & Progression

While we don’t enter competitions, students have the option to take official RAD exams, giving them a fun challenge and a sense of achievement as they progress.

💖 Why Families Love Us

Parents appreciate our non‑competitive, nurturing approach where children grow in confidence and skill under expert guidance. Families love that our focus is on encouragement, enjoyment, and self‑growth, making ballet a positive experience for dancers of all ages.
