Dragon and Phoenix

Together the Dragon and the Phoenix embody the male and female essences, symbolizing a strong and successful union.

In ancient Chinese literature, their relationship is of supreme symbolic importance, as one was predestined to be the lifetime partner of the other.

In many different cultures the Dragon symbolizes goodness, strength, courage and fortitude.

Representing the male energy, Yang, the Dragon depicts the direction East in Feng Shui.

The Phoenix is a mythological creature that has rare and exquisite beauty (living for 500 or 600 years and then consumed itself in fire, rising renewed from the ashes to start another long life: it is a symbol of immortality)

She also symbolizes the five human qualities of virtue, duty, morality, trust and benevolence.
