At Penshurst Martial Arts, we believe karate is for everyone – kids, teens, and adults alike. No prior experience is needed, just a willingness to learn in a safe, supportive, and fun environment. Our classes are designed to build confidence, discipline, and resilience while keeping things engaging and enjoyable.

🥋 Karate – A Way of Life

We teach traditional Okinawan Goju-Ryu Meibukan karate, a style focused on natural, efficient movements that work for all body types. Karate isn’t just about self-defence – it’s about strengthening the mind, body, and spirit. Students learn focus, respect, and perseverance while developing lifelong skills.

⚔️ Kobudo – Weapons Training

For high school students and above, we also offer Okinawan Kobudo, the art of traditional weaponry. Using tools like the Bo staff, Sai, and Nunchaku, students improve coordination, timing, and reflexes. Training with weapons enhances karate skills and teaches discipline, patience, and precision.

- Regina Coeli Parish Hall (Beverly Hills) – Karate & Kobudo, Fri evenings

- St Johns Church Hall (South Hurstville) – Free kids’ martial arts classes, Thu evenings
