Our Kids Clay workshops are perfect for children aged 5+. Guided by friendly instructors, kids learn simple handbuilding techniques to create bowls, mugs, vases, or their own imaginative designs. Each piece is finished with colourful underglazes, so every child takes home a unique artwork they’ll be proud of.

✨ Wheel Taster & Beginners Handbuilding

Families can explore pottery basics together with our Wheel Taster and Handbuilding classes. These sessions are beginner-friendly, offering step-by-step guidance in a relaxed, supportive studio environment.

🌱 Handbuilding 2.0

For kids ready to take their creativity further, Handbuilding 2.0 focuses on playful exploration. There’s no strict process—just imagination, experimentation, and fun with clay. Children can shape, decorate, and personalise their creations while building confidence and self-expression.

💞 Special Workshops & Courses

We also offer creative experiences like Pottery & Prosecco for adults, Date Night Wheel Throw, and longer courses such as Beginners Wheel Throw, Inbetweeners Wheel Throw, and even a 12 Piece Dinner Set program. While these are designed for older students, families love that kids have their own dedicated clay classes alongside these offerings.

Born in a garage studio in Sydney’s south, Part Time Ceramics grew from a passion project into a welcoming hub for families. Inspired by the raw beauty of the NSW South Coast, our workshops celebrate individuality—no two pieces are ever the same. Sharing the studio with kids and families has become the heart of what we do, making pottery both joyful and meaningful.
