Oakhurst Karate Rhyno

🥋 Oakhurst Dojo – Karate for All Ages

💪 Why Karate?

Our program goes beyond kicks and punches—it’s about building important life skills. Students learn self-defence in a safe, supportive environment while developing focus, discipline, and respect. Karate helps children improve coordination, agility, endurance, and strength, while also boosting self-confidence and clarity of mind. It’s a fun and empowering way for kids to grow both physically and mentally.

👩‍🏫 Sensei Di

Training since 2006, Sensei Di has competed in numerous tournaments, earning medals and trophies along the way. Her proudest achievement was winning the open female black belt division at the AMAC National Titles. She holds a 3rd dan black belt and is a certified instructor with First Aid and MAIA accreditation. Her highest moment? Watching her son achieve his black belt and become a sensei himself.

👨‍🏫 Shihan Joe

Starting karate in 2006, Shihan Joe quickly advanced through the ranks, earning his 1st dan black belt in 2010 alongside his wife and son. Today, he holds a 4th dan black belt and is a certified instructor with First Aid and MAIA accreditation. His proudest moment came when a student told him that classes felt like being part of a big family—a reflection of the dojo’s welcoming spirit.
