The Oak Flats Swimming Club is an incorporated “not for profit” amateur club. We rely on enthusiastic parent involvement to ensure the smooth operation and success of our Club. More volunteers are always welcome and we would encourage all parents to become involved in any way they can.
SQUAD PROGRAM
★ MINI SQUADS / LEARN TO SWIM COMPETENTLY
This is a squad suitable for swimmers who are just starting out and are learning to swim competently. The squad is designed to focus on developing your swimming skills through learning different drills, working on your kick & breathing and knowing the correct lane etiquette while swimming. It is also when we introduce the other strokes and the skills required to develop these further.
★ JUNIOR & JUNIOR ADVANCED & SENIOR SQUADS
This is a 1 to 1.5 hour swim squad and is suitable for swimmers who are able to cover a distance of 2.8km or more, working at various intensities. Oak Flats swim squad offers a variation in intensity based sessions. This ensures pacing skills and swimming speed is developed.
