North Sydney Physie and Dance Incorporated

We believe in Friendship, Fitness and Fun! We encourage all our students to work hard each lesson, and enjoy themselves in the process.

We run classes in Naremburn and Northbridge, catering for girls as young as 3yrs, right up to Ladies. Physie combines elements of several different kinds of dance such as ballet, jazz, contemporary and Pilates.

We strongly encourage all students to participate in team competitions which foster a sense of community within the club. Each student belongs and is welcome, regardless of age, ability or experience.

At North Sydney Physie and Dance we develop technique, posture, strength and flexibility. We also foster a sense of pride in oneself, humility and determination.

★ PASSION

Our students love to dance. We strive to ensure that all students are enjoying their classes, competitions and performances. We also foster a sense of community and belonging across all classes and age divisions.

★ PURPOSE

Students are encouraged to set goals for themselves and work hard towards them all year. Students are rewarded for dedication, persistence and personal improvement.

WHAT IS PHYSIE?

Physie combines elements of ballet, jazz, contemporary, pilates and gymnastics. It is a unique Australian dance sport which is inexpensive, local, community based, and lots of fun! Physie improves strength, flexibility, fitness, control, posture, co-ordination, and balance. It also develops life skills of confidence, self-discipline, focus and sportsmanship.

Each year our students represent North Sydney Physie by participating in a number of competitions run by the Australian Physie and Dance Association. These competitions are optional, and there are a range of different kinds which students can enter depending on their experience and enthusiasm.
