🥋 Nintai Karate – Building Confidence Through Tradition

👶 Junior Classes (Ages 5–9)

Our junior program focuses on three key areas: traditional Gōjū Ryū techniques, physical and mental skills, and personal values. These foundations help children grow in confidence, discipline, and resilience while having fun learning karate.

⚔️ Junior Kumite (Coloured Belts)

Following the junior class, coloured belts practise kumite — applying their skills in motion against an opponent. This builds agility, focus, and the ability to use techniques in real situations.

👦 Senior Classes (Ages 10+)

Older students train in traditional Gōjū Ryū karate, with opportunities to demonstrate their skills in gradings before a panel of judges. Successful gradings lead to promotion, encouraging students to set goals and celebrate their progress.

⚔️ Senior Kumite (Coloured Belts)

Before senior classes, coloured belts take part in kumite, learning to apply their techniques dynamically and with confidence.

🌟 Our Mission & Philosophy

Founded in 2013 as Karate Academy Capalaba, Nintai Karate has grown into a strong community led by Sensei Amanda Harrison — one of the few female instructors heading a Gōjū Ryū Seiwakai dojo in Queensland. With dojos in Capalaba and Crestmead, we provide more opportunities for families to join our karate family. Our philosophy is simple: train both mind and body, build character, resilience, and humility, and help every student reach their potential.
