🎾 MW Tennis Academy

At MW Tennis Academy, we believe tennis is more than just a sport—it’s a journey that builds confidence, discipline, and a lifelong love for the game. Founded by James Murphy and Gavin Waller, two Hills locals who grew up immersed in tennis, our academy is built on generations of family passion for the sport. After competing at national level, James and Gavin channelled their experience into coaching, creating a supportive environment where players of all ages can thrive.

👦 About Us

MW Tennis Academy isn’t just two coaches running lessons—it’s a team of qualified professionals who share the same values and teaching philosophy. With over two decades of experience as players and mentors, plus insights from top-level ATP coaches, we’ve designed a curriculum that balances fun, skill development, and a genuine love for tennis.

🎯 Programs for All Ages and Levels

We offer a wide range of programs tailored to every stage of development:

• Group Development Clinics: Fun and supportive group classes focusing on skills, match play, and fitness.

• Private Lessons: One-on-one coaching to refine technique, strategy, and performance.

• Junior Player Pathway: A structured program nurturing young talent, instilling a love for tennis while building strong foundations.

• Development Pathway Classes: Using Tennis Australia, ATPCA, and ITF-approved equipment, we adapt the environment to suit each player’s needs—from softer red balls and smaller courts for beginners, to full competitive play with yellow balls for advanced players.

💖 Why Families Love Us

Parents appreciate our family-focused approach and the way we make tennis accessible and enjoyable. Children love the fun, modern training methods and the chance to grow alongside friends, while families value the supportive environment that helps kids build confidence, discipline, and resilience both on and off the court.
