Maria Spanish School offers fun programs for children and teenagers to learn the Spanish Language and culture.

OUR CLASSES

⭐ Spanish For Beginners (5 to 7 years old)

In this level, children will learn vowels, numbers, colours, animals, vocabulary and greetings in Spanish, including their proper pronunciation.

⭐ Intermediate Spanish (8 to 12 years old)

Children will learn the alphabet, sound of the letters, pronunciation, grammar, spelling, reading & writing in Spanish. Through interactive materials and activities.

⭐ Advanced Spanish (8 to 12 years old)

The students will learn and practice greetings, alphabet, vocabulary and grammar. They will read stories and comics, watch videos and play games. The emphasis of this course is to practise the listening skill and conversational fluency of the language.

⭐ Pro-Advanced Spanish (13 to 17 years old)

The focus of this level is to support students that are taking Spanish IB and VCE tests. This level will give students the necessary skills to prepare them for the tests. Using the Spanish B textbook from Oxford IB Diploma Programme, the students will learn vocabulary, grammar, spelling, reading and writing through a dynamic, interactive and creative lesson.

Hi/Hola! My name is Maria and I am the founder of Maria Spanish School. I would like to invite you to know about our School where children and teenagers can learn our language and culture.

More than 10 years of experience in teaching children and teenagers, have led us to create an innovative methodology to make the Spanish learning experience practical, dynamic and very effective.

We aim to make learning Spanish a positive experience for all students, so that they feel motivated and confident when speaking Spanish.

Our school is open to all those who want to learn. We have trained professionals in inclusive education making a safe place for every student.

ABOUT ME

I am a journalist from Chile. I have a Master in Social Communication and a Certificate IV in Education Support in Melbourne.

I am a woman, mother and entrepreneur, who loves education and Latin American culture. “Arriving in Australia, a country with a different language and culture, allowed me to approach multiculturalism in an interactive way. Taking the best that this land had to offer me, to enrich my life”. For me, education, language and culture are the most precious values in our society and I want to teach every student at Maria Spanish School the beauty of this cultural interchange.

Since my arrival in Melbourne in 2011, I have been involved in Early Childhood Education by delivering workshops for children at local childcare centres, as a Spanish teacher for children at the VSL (Victorian School of Languages) and for adults at Community Centres. I am actively involved in the Spanish-speaking community in Melbourne. In 2017, Maria founded “Maria Spanish School” for all children and teenagers that are looking to learn Spanish and Latin American culture.
