At Manly Surf School, we make surfing fun, safe, and accessible for kids and families. Whether your child is a beginner or aiming for elite training, our programs are designed to build confidence, fitness, and skills in the water.

🏄 Kids Group Lessons – Low Tide

Kids aged 5 and up can join daily group lessons alongside adults—perfect if you want to surf with your child! Or choose private group lessons and birthday parties just for kids. Every child is provided with the right surfboard, wetsuit, and placed in the right age group to maximise fun and learning.

📚 After School Lessons

We offer 8‑week programs tailored to different levels:

• Learn to Surf Programs

• Intermediate Programs

• Advanced & High Performance Surf Centre (HPSC) Programs

• Elite Advanced Programs

☀️ School Holiday Programs

Since 1983, Head Coach Matt Grainger has been running holiday surf courses for kids of all abilities. Each 4‑day program is packed with fun, skill‑building, and the thrill of standing on a board for the first time. Classes run rain or shine—even in winter!

🔥 Intermediate & Elite Training

For teens and advanced surfers, our Elite Training Division (established in 1994) offers specialised coaching. At the High Performance Surf Centre, surfers train with expert coaches and personal trainers through surf‑specific fitness, ring‑craft, and customised programs to take their surfing to the next level.

🌟 Private Lessons

For one‑on‑one or small group coaching, our Surfing Australia qualified instructors provide personalised training. With decades of experience—including Matt Grainger’s career as NSW Head Coach and pro competitor—you’re in expert hands.
