MY CLASSES

I currently offer individual and group lessons to all skill levels in bass, guitar and drums. I specialise in primary school ages but have taught a range of ages from 5 to 81. Lessons can take place at your home, your school or my studio in Tregeagle.

I also offer school holiday camps, live performance opportunities and group band classes.

Welcome to Maca Music, I'm Matt Taylor, an experienced educator and musician. I have a Bachelor of Music and a Bachelor of Education (Primary) with experience as a classroom teacher, music tutor, show director and band member.

I live and breathe bass guitar but also teach electric and acoustic guitar as well as drums. I love live music and in my spare time I play bass in two Sydney-based bands.

My studio is nestled within a macadamia farm, hence the name!

I believe that music should be fun and accessible for everyone. It provides a vital tool in understanding more about yourself and engaging your creative side.

Music is different for everyone and that is the beauty of it!

I love to see the way in which music can be used as a tool to collaborate and connect with others, while building confidence and life long skills that translate to all areas of life. My goal with each student is to go beyond scales and notes, to get them well on their way to playing the songs they love, whatever their process.
