Kurri Kurri Aquatic & Fitness Centre is the premier gym and indoor swimming pool in Kurri Kurri. Proudly managed on behalf of Cessnock City Council by Belgravia Leisure.

Our modern facility is staffed by a fantastic team of friendly, committed and qualified professionals to assist you in all your Aquatic, Excercise and Customer Service needs.

With our heated indoor 25 metre lap pool and 10m heated leisure pool we offer a "year round" swimming lessons program catered for infants from 6 months of age, pre-school and school age lessons, stroke development and squad training, through to adult lessons and disability/special needs swimming lessons by fully qualified professionals.

★ BABIES AND TODDLERS

Help your child become comfortable and confident in and around the water by enrolling into our Infants or Preschool Splish Splash Aquaplay program at Kurri Kurri Aquatic and Fitness Centre.

Sessions are designed for babies 3 months to 3.5 years, catering for infant, toddler and preschool participants attending with their parents/guardians or appropriate adult carers.

Sessions are structured play and designed with you and your baby in mind. With a gentle introduction into the water in a safe and welcoming environment, infants can start to enjoy the water from birth.

★ SWIMMING LESSONS FOR CHILDREN

Kurri Kurri Aquatic and Fitness Centre has partnered with Swimming Australia to bring you a new and effective swimming and water safety program, focused on experiential and activity-based learning. GOswim swimming lessons empower students to think, discuss and decide whilst having fun in and around water.

The curriculum covers seven areas of learning that are combined and presented as activities to enhance student development. Key learning areas include:

○ Entries and exits

○ Floating and sculling

○ Movement, propulsion and stroke development

○ Personal survival

○ Underwater skills

○ Rescue and emergency

○ Water safety knowledge

★ SCHOOL SWIMMING PROGRAM

The centre offers a wide range of programs for your group or school to be a part of. You can choose from end of term activities through to programs that are energised, alternative and or educational.

We offer school swimming program options that are available and aligned with education requirements for water safety. Programs can be tailored to meet the school's requirements for timetabling, logistics, affordability and curriculum objectives.

★ SWIM SQUAD

Is your child set to be the next Olympic swimmer?

We have dedicated and qualified Coaching professionals who will strive to help get them there.

At Kurri Kurri Aquatic & Fitness Centre our professional teaching staff don't just teach a skill of survival.

We teach your child stroke correction and the skills required to be great at freestyle, backstroke, breastroke and butterfly in our mini-squad levels.

When your child is proficient in all 4 strokes, if they love swimming and are ambitious enough to go that one step further we offer them the opportunity to join our Squad team to learn and further develop their skills with the help of our dedicated and qualified Squad Coaching staff.

Our Squad teams regularly train early morning and afternoons to participate in competitive swim meets.
