Kempsey Basketball Association, Inc.

Kempsey Basketball Association is a community-based, not-for-profit sporting association in Kempsey on the Mid North Coast of New South Wales, welcoming players and families from across the Kempsey Council Shire. We run **term-based basketball classes for kids aged 6+, along with opportunities for both competitive and recreational players to get involved, stay active, and enjoy the game in a supportive local setting.

Incorporated in 2000 and operating out of Melville High School, Kempsey Basketball has built a proud history of grassroots development and strengthening resilience within our community. We also deliver school-based sporting programs across the region, helping more kids discover basketball and build skills through regular participation.

Our membership continues to grow, and we’re committed to creating a positive club culture known for great sportsmanship. We aim to make basketball accessible to everyone, no matter their personal circumstances, and we’re currently exploring new site options to build an indoor stadium to better support families and the wider Kempsey Shire community.

At the heart of what we do is helping young people grow through sport. Through our programs, basketball becomes a fun way to learn confidence, commitment, leadership, integrity, teamwork, and respect for themselves and others. With families and volunteers working together, we provide a disciplined and encouraging environment where every player can develop their talents — not only for basketball, but for life.
