Kazoku Jiu-Jitsu Academy in Varsity Lakes, Gold Coast, is more than just a martial arts school — it’s a family. Founded by Alexandre Tsukamoto, whose journey began with Muay Thai before discovering the puzzle-like art of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, the academy was built on respect, resilience and community. Alexandre’s vision is simple: to make a positive difference in people’s lives through Jiu-Jitsu. The word Kazoku means “family” in Japanese, and that’s exactly the culture you’ll find here — welcoming, supportive and empowering for kids, teens and adults alike.

Our mission is to help students of all ages grow in confidence, discipline and resilience while learning practical self-defence and building lifelong friendships. We believe the greatest victories happen off the mats — when a shy child finds their voice, when a teenager develops discipline, or when families grow stronger through shared experiences.

👧 Our Programs

* Mini Warriors (3–4 years): Fun, game-based classes that build balance, coordination and teamwork while introducing the basics of Jiu-Jitsu.

* Little Ninjas (5–8 years): Engaging sessions that teach fundamental techniques, self-defence skills and values like respect and discipline in a supportive environment.

* Young Samurai (9–14 years): Structured classes with advanced techniques, controlled sparring and leadership development, helping kids grow as martial artists and individuals.

* Teens & Adults: From beginners to competitors, our programs cater to all levels, focusing on fitness, self-defence and personal growth.
