OUR CLASSES

★ Jazz

Jazz is an upbeat and fun style of dance. Students enjoy dancing to modern music and learning and developing their strength, flexibility and technique. These classes incorporate both Broadway and Modern jazz, allowing students to gain experience and develop their skills in both styles.

★ Tap

Tap is an extremely enjoyable style of dance. It is a great way for students to improve their co-ordination, rhythm and strength. Tap classes are an enjoyable way to learn new skills and make new friends.

★ Ballet

Classical Ballet is a great way for students to improve their technique, strength, flexibility, and co-ordination. Our ballet classes are encouraged for all students, as this is a great way to improve dancers ability in other genres as well.

★ Hip Hop

Hip hop is an extremely fun and popular genre. Hip hop lessons improve student’s co-ordination, strength and rhythm in a fun and energetic atmosphere.

★ Acrobatics

Acrobatics includes a range of flexibility, cardio, limbering, and tumbling. This is a great way for students to learn new skills, and improve their flexibility and strength in a safe and supportive environment.

★ Jazz Ballet

Jazz Ballet is offered to our younger students and incorporates both jazz and ballet technique. It is a great introduction to dance for our younger age groups, focusing on basic skills, co-ordination, rhythm, and flexibility.

★ Contemporary

Contemporary dance is a style that focuses on self-expression, creativity and inner feelings. Contemporary combines different elements of jazz, lyrical, and classical ballet.

ABOUT US

Jess Dance Academy is a family friendly dance school that offers a range of classes for students of all ages and abilities. Located in Marleston, Adelaide, we run a variety of classes in a range of dance styles, including; Hip Hop, Jazz, Ballet, Acrobatics, Contemporary and Tap.

Owners of JDA, Jess and Kate, are both qualified educators completing their Bachelor of Education. We pride ourselves on providing quality dance education in a safe and supportive environment. Our passionate teachers facilitate lessons in an encouraging, no-pressure environment, in which each child can reach their full potential at their own pace. Our goal is to give our students a positive learning experience and our classes focus on quality training with a commitment to safe dance practice. Our teachers are highly qualified with expertise and experience in dance teaching, dance performance and production. They have a passion and dedication for sharing their knowledge with young dancers in a safe and nurturing environment.

Jess Dance Academy prides itself on being an inclusive, tight knit community. We hold many community and fundraising events throughout the year. Our fundraising events throughout the year help to cover the cost of costumes, as always we try to keep costs affordable for families. We strongly encourage students and JDA families to be involved and support our fundraising events. This is a great way to get to know our JDA team, students, and families.
