🎶 Jazz Workshop Australia (JWA)

At Jazz Workshop Australia, we believe music should be fun, inspiring, and a pathway to growth for kids, teens, and families. Since 2007, we’ve been building a creative community where students of all ages can explore jazz and improvisation, guided by passionate teachers and surrounded by supportive peers. Based in St Leonards, Sydney, our purpose-built studio is a welcoming space where young musicians can learn, play, and shine.

⭐ Jazz Bands (Combos)

Small group ensembles rehearse weekly, giving students the chance to experience the joy of playing in a real jazz band. With structured coaching, improvisation practice, and plenty of jamming, kids and teens build confidence while having fun. Many of our alumni have gone on to achieve great success, making this program a fantastic stepping stone for budding musicians.

🎹 Private Music Lessons

Our outstanding teachers offer one-on-one lessons in a wide range of instruments, including saxophone, trumpet, trombone, piano, guitar, bass, drums, clarinet, and more. Whether your child is just starting out or ready to take their skills further, lessons are available in-person at our St Leonards studio or online for added flexibility.

🏕️ Jazz Camps

Our camps are a highlight of the year! The famous Summer Jazz Camp is a five-day residential program in January, drawing students from across Australia and overseas for an unforgettable experience. In July, our Winter Jazz Camp offers a fun, non-residential option for kids and teens, packed with learning, creativity, and friendship.
