Founded in 1992, Iwama Ryu Aikido Australia was created to preserve the traditional Aikido taught by O-Sensei in Iwama from 1945–1960. This style focuses on discipline, respect, and practical martial arts skills, blending open-handed techniques with sword and staff training. It’s a martial art designed to be effective, while also teaching students confidence, focus, and resilience.
