OUR CLASSES

✨ HIGHLAND DANCE

Highland dance (not to be confused with Scottish country dance) is a traditional form of dance derived from Gaelic folk dance, but formalised with the conventions of ballet. Considered both a sport and an art form, highland dance builds strong and flexible bodies, improves agility, coordination, and balance, and increases bone density.

We have highland dance classes to suit all ages and levels from preschool to championship. Our teachers follow the methods outlined by the Royal Scottish Official Board of Highland Dancing and we conduct examinations under the British Association of Teachers of Dancing and the Victorian Scottish Dancing Association.

We provide dancers with the opportunity to compete at a national and international level; perform on stage for parents, friends, and the wider community; complete nationally and internationally recognised exams; and to dance just for the fun of it!
