Why teach children to program?

We believe that programming will become as ubiquitous as reading & writing for our future generations. Traditionally programming was only taught in college. However, those who have led and transformed in the field of programming began their education in technology long before commencing their tertiary education often teaching themselves and learning from mentors. Kids who learn to program early gain a deeper and more complete understanding of logic and advanced thinking behind analytical problem solving and transfer these techniques to other challenges. This could well be one of the reasons early learners have experienced such significant success in their respective fields (think Gates, Zuckerberg, Wozniak).

Of course, it is often a struggle to make children put in the time and dedication necessary to embark upon an advanced educational journey. We believe we can encourage them by making the process fun and interactive so that they are immersed in their learning experience as they explore their creativity. This is what makes our program so unique.

How we do it?

Our courses are designed using different interactive techniques that are based on storylines which will actually help them to enjoy the course while learning different programming concepts. Each course is developed around a creative theme and storyline so that it will make kids feel like they are playing a game, not just sitting in a classroom.

We combine gaming mechanics with video instruction and in-browser coding challenges to make learning fun interactive and memorable. Lessons on coding will include teaching them programming languages which will eventually help them to build a professional-level web and mobile applications as well as animated games. At the same time, we ensure that the learning takes place in an informal, creative, and supportive environment with a focus on teamwork.
