I Can Read - Hurstville

I Can Read is a trusted literacy programme that has been helping children discover the joy of reading for over 25 years.

Developed by educational psychologists Annabel Seargeant and Tony Earnshaw, the system was created to make learning English simple, fun, and confidence-building for every child—even though English can be tricky with its many rules and exceptions. 🌟📚

Starting in Singapore and now thriving across Australia, I Can Read has grown into a network of learning centres that support children at every stage of their literacy journey. From toddlers taking their first steps with sounds, to school-aged children developing grammar, writing, and exam skills, our structured ‘Steps to English Success’ programmes guide learners smoothly from beginner to advanced levels.

Our Programmes include:

✨ I Can Read Core Programme – step-by-step lessons covering the 44 sounds of English, improving reading fluency, comprehension, and spelling.
