Heidi's School of Dance

Heidi’s School of Dance is a Newcastle dance school, offering a friendly and personal approach to the exciting world of dance, with very successful results.

We encourage students to appreciate the technical importance of dance, balanced with an enjoyment of creative expression within a supportive and nurturing environment.

Our enthusiastic staff acknowledge that not every child who enters a dance class will have a life-long career in dancing, however, other benefits such as developing friendships; self-discipline; self-esteem as well as learning about working as a member of a team, will remain with the students throughout their lifetimes.

Our dance studio offers tuition in Classical Ballet; Jazz; Modern and Contemporary Dance, catering for students from three years of age.

DANCE CLASSES

Heidi's School of Dance offers dance classes in classical, jazz and contemporary for students from three years of age.

★ Classical

Heidi's School of Dance Classical Ballet classes encourage students to develop their technique, posture, grace and confidence through the British Ballet Organisation Syllabus.

Examinations are a great way for students to gain confidence and work towards achieving personal goals. Our school prepares students for examinations from Primary to Advanced Two levels with consistently pleasing results.

Classical Ballet classes will be run on the same day as age appropriate Jazz classes so that students can enjoy both styles if they wish. Pointe classes are available for students at an appropriate grade level, however age, strength and experience will be considered when determining the eligibility of a student.

★ Jazz & Contemporary

Heidi's School of Dance Jazz Classes are a fun way to gain coordination, rhythm and fitness in a fast-paced environment, with a variety of music and styles. Our jazz dance classes are held in our Newcastle dance studio.

When students have acquired a certain level of competency and/or age, Jazz Classes combine with a Contemporary and Modern Dance component that encourages self-expression and creative movement.

In our Jazz and Contemporary classes, students work toward a routine to perform in our annual concert, held at the end of each dance year.

Jazz and Contemporary dance classes will run on the same day as age appropriate classical classes so that students can enjoy both styles if they wish.

★ Tiny Tots

Heidi's School of Dance welcomes students from the age of three with our specifically designed ‘Tiny Tots’ classes for pre-school aged children who love to dance.

Tiny Tots classes are held throughout the week with morning and afternoon options available.

Heidi's School of Dance Tiny Tots classes offer a creative introduction to dance for girls and boys, with a mix of ballet, jazz and movement exercises in a 45-minute class, jam-packed with fun and excitement.

A nurturing and creative class to be enjoyed by all.
