Heffalump Dezign - Art School and Studio

Happy Heffalump art classes for children and adults on Tuesdays and Saturdays eight weeks a term. Join us for a trial lesson, you are so welcome! Structured theory and colour activities each week build knowledge and confidence whilst allowing personal expression and inspiration.

Creating for 15 years in sunny Macarthur!

Established by designer, artist, writer and advocate Lathalia Song (flywaterleaflight.com.au) in 2008. Our current team of six accomplished award winning artists encourage and inspire all the students. We have trained 12 local artists over the years who have gone on to successful careers. Each lesson has two teachers and capacity for twelve to sixteen students per class. You receive a sketch book and portfolio when enrolling for the term.

We are an NDIS provider and accept 2024 Creative Kids vouchers. Our NDIS provider number 4050015019 allows us to be an inclusive environment. Usually seven years old and up is best, with capacity to follow group instructions. We offer concession and subsidised prices for families with challenges.

Heffalump Art Classes are a very supportive and encouraging environment. The students make art for fun, enriching our community life. That is the best outcome, to inspire lifelong creativity. Many of our students have also won prizes at the Camden Show, Fishers Ghost and Young Archibald Art Competitions, also school and regional competitions.

The ambitious students have succeeded in careers like graphic design, animation, arts small businesses, occupational therapy, and teaching. Like many of our past or current students you are welcome to attend short or long term according to preference.

A trial art lesson is $35 per one hour class and $45 for two hours. There is a $40 discount per term for a short time only. The classes are on Saturdays and Tuesdays for eight weeks of the school terms, starting the first week.
To enrol contact us for the preferred time to book a spot. The usual term of eight weeks is $280 one hour class and $360, all materials, sketch book and portfolio included.

The lessons are structured with theory and technique demonstrations, encouraging independence. Sometimes we offer the in the step by step style. The previous teachers and students are guest teachers each year offer their style and techniques from time to time.
