Flying Fruit Fly Circus delivers Australia’s only full-time circus training program for students aged 8–19, combining a holistic, creative education with professional circus training. Students train in partnership with our own academic school, gaining both artistic skills and academic learning, while experiencing the joy and discipline of circus performance.

We aim to inspire young people through circus, helping them flourish and discover their unique skills. By creating exciting contemporary circus for young and family audiences, we also act as leaders in the circus sector and regional community.

🎪 Holistic Learning Journey

Our program emphasises four key learning areas: Creative, Academic, Physical, and Social. Students receive multi-disciplinary training in dance, drama, acrobatics, aerials, manipulation, and performance. The goal is to develop strength, resilience, artistry, and confidence, whether they aim to become professional circus artists or simply enjoy the physical and creative benefits.

💫 Structured Training Pathways

Preparation Group: Youngest students explore fundamentals of balance, acrobatics, aerials, and manipulation.

Foundation Group: Builds core strength, agility, and begins specialising in preferred disciplines.

Development Group: Tailored programs focus on skill development, individual repertoire, rehearsals, and performance readiness.

Performance Opportunities: Students perform in cabarets, community events, schools, corporate functions, and both national and international tours.

🎭 Professional Mentorship & Community

Students train 10–20 hours per week under expert guidance, participating in a nurturing, supportive environment that celebrates individuality and teamwork. Alumni regularly go on to work with leading circus companies worldwide.
