Flamenco Solymar

Flamenco Solymar prides itself on being a friendly and inclusive flamenco dance and language school. At Flamenco Solymar, you can learn flamenco dance, percussion (castanets and cajon) and Spanish as a language.

OUR CLASSES

★ FLAMENCO DANCE FOR CHILDREN

This class is designed for children 3 years and up. Children learn basic flamenco dance technique including braceo and zapateado and how to use body percussion such as palmas (hand clapping). Students also learn how to play the castanets. Students learn choreography to specific flamenco rhythms like Sevillanas, Rumbas and Tangos.

★ SPANISH LANGUAGE

These classes are designed for children and adults of all levels. The various classes suit language levels of the students from beginner to intermediate and advanced. Students will learn conversational skills as well writing, reading, speaking and listening. Children and adults alike will enjoy the fun lessons which include learning through games, song, dance and drama.

★ SPANISH PARENTS ‘N’ BUBS

This class is designed for children 0-5yrs with their parents, grandparents and/or carers. Young and old will learn basic Spanish. The class involves lots of singing, dancing, playing instruments (including castanets and cajon) - a great opportunity for parents with bubs to get their Hispano American music fix!

Classes are small and empower children and adults of all ages and abilities to express themselves through movement, music and language in a fun and creative environment.
