The Finley Cats are the proud Aussie Rules Football and Netball teams representing the town of Finley, NSW, competing in the Murray Football League. With a rich history stretching back to the late 1800s, the Cats are a pillar of the local community, bringing families and fans together to celebrate sport, teamwork, and local pride.

🏆 History & Achievements

The Cats first competed in the Murray Football League in 1933 and quickly established themselves as a competitive force. Over the decades, the club has enjoyed memorable grand final appearances and premiership victories. Highlights include their first premiership win in 1953 after a drawn grand final replay against Deniliquin, back-to-back triumphs in 1981 and 1982, and multiple other championship victories throughout the 1950s, 1970s, and 1980s. The team has faced tough competition from rival clubs like Numurkah, Deniliquin, and Tocumwal, building a legacy of resilience and determination.
