Encore Speech & Drama Studio

Encore Speech & Drama Studio opened in 2000 by principal Mrs. Kristie Thorne (nee Locke). Since then it has helped young people grow into confident speakers and provides an avenue for drama and acting.

We work to provide a fun learning environment for all ages, and cater for the quiet children who require confidence, to those budding young actors who just love drama and acting!

To be able to speak in front of an audience is a life skill and assists the child in so many ways at school and during their lives. We have a passion for children and helping them achieve their goals and reach for the stars.

CLASSES

We offer classes for all ages and ranges from 3 and up.

★ Group Work

★ Mime & Improvisation Work

We cater for all levels and work with little ones to improve speech as well as can assist with minor speech faults such as lisping, stuttering and sound correction.

Students have the opportunity to perform in Regional Eisteddfods through the year and participate in the annual IMEB examination, however classes can also be just for FUN and to develop CONFIDENCE!

The many benefits to the classes include improved communication skills, increase in confidence, ability to actively participate in group work.

OUR AIM

It is our aim here at Encore Speech & Drama Studio to assist students in developing good vocal quality and drama skills as well as confidence, using the imagination, improving language skills, encouraging correct speech, and most importantly developing a love of Speech and Drama.
