Our club is a safe, friendly place for everyone to progress in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. We have a growing number of female members, who find Empty Jacket to be a safe and encouraging environment to learn and grow. Our members range in age and abilities, but we are all on our BJJ journey together.

Brazilian Jiu Jitsu is different for everyone. For some people, it's a pass-time. For some, it's a passion. While many people find courage, others find calm. As parents, we want our children to be safe in this world, and to grow up with all the skills they need to navigate life. It has long been acknowledged, that Martial Arts is a great form of self defence, while also teaching self confidence, respect, focus and discipline.

Our Kids BJJ is located in Armadale, with classes on Tuesday evening and Saturday morning. Enquire now.

Brazilian Jiu Jitsu is now the fastest growing sport in the world. Originating from Japan, this form of Jiu Jitsu evolved in Brazil from its Japanese roots, into what we now recognise as Brazilian Jiu Jitsu.

Brazilian Jiu Jitsu teaches the importance of humility, patience, endurance and respect. Designed to eliminate the physical disadvantage of the smaller, weaker opponent, BJJ builds self confidence in those who feel vulnerable. In turn it teaches the bigger, stronger opponent to be humble, to practice restraint, and that physical strength is not the key.
