🎶 About Us

Didge in a Day is a unique workshop program that helps young people and adults connect with culture, creativity, and community by making their very own didgeridoo. With over 20 years of experience, we provide a safe, supportive environment where participants learn new skills, grow in confidence, and take home a lifelong treasure.

🌱 Our Workshops

Starting with a termite-hollowed tree blank, participants are guided step-by-step to create their own didgeridoo in just one day. No woodworking skills are required—we supply all tools, materials, and coaching. Activities are tailored to suit all ages and abilities, including students with special needs, ensuring everyone feels included and supported.

🤝 Cultural Collaboration

Although Didge in a Day is run by non-Indigenous facilitators, the program was encouraged by Indigenous elders from the Yuin Mob and Black Duck tribe. We work closely with local communities to foster reconciliation, respect, and cultural awareness. We strongly recommend families consult with their local elders to involve them in the journey.

🏫 Schools & Groups

Our workshops fit easily into school days and are flexible to meet different skill levels. Students learn teamwork, persistence, and respect while building fitness and coordination. Many schools have found the program bridges cultural divides, sparking interest in Indigenous culture and inspiring students to continue playing together long after the workshop.
