OUR ACADEMY

(Dance Arena Established 1989)

Upon gaining the Royal Academy of Dance Teachers’ Diploma (Distinction in the teaching of children), Katherine Ward established DANCE ARENA in the Northern Beaches Suburbs of Elanora Heights and Terrey Hills.

Students have gained places in selective vocational dance schools and Universities, including The New Zealand School of Dance, The Australian Ballet School, UNSW, and now perform and teach professionally in Australia and overseas.

Dance Arena HSC Dance students have received Band 6 results, and have been nominated and selected to perform in the NSW Board of Studies CALLBACK concert (the annual showcase of exemplary practical works.)

Students have received awards in Major Eisteddfods, vocational scholarships and consistently achieved Distinction/Honours level in examinations.

Pupils have performed children’s roles with professional companies including Australian Ballet and Queensland Ballet.

Children flourish at the school; gaining poise, musicality, grace, and a love for the great Art-form of Dance.

Dance Arena is a centre of excellence, celebrating over 30 years of quality dance tuition.
