🌟 Welcome to DCSOD – Danae Cantwell School of Dance

For over 20 years, DCSOD has been a cornerstone of the Kempsey community, giving country kids the opportunity to shine in the performing arts. Founded by Danae Shore, our school combines professional guidance, expert teaching, and a nurturing environment to help students reach their full potential — from building confidence in the studio to performing on national and international stages. Most importantly, every class is filled with fun and creativity, because that’s what dance is all about!

💃 Classes for Every Dancer

We offer a wide range of dance styles to suit every age and skill level, including:

✨ Elite Programs

For our most dedicated dancers, we offer Elite Classical Ballet and Elite Commercial programs, available by invitation only. These programs are designed to challenge and inspire, preparing students for advanced performance opportunities. Students are grouped by age: Elite Junior (9–12 years) and Elite Senior (13+), with hip-hop integrated into the Elite Commercial track.

🩰 Combo & Extended Classes

Young dancers aged 5–6 can join our combo class, blending Ballet, Jazz, and Acro, with the option to participate in our Petite Performance Team. For dancers aged 11+, Jazz classes are extended to 45 minutes, and all students also have access to Jazz Technique classes for free on the same night, ensuring they receive maximum training and skill development.
