We genuinely care about the development of each and every student in our studio. Providing a comprehensive training program, we support tiny dancers learning their very first step right through to pre-professional performers. You will find our teachers in the wings supporting and cheering on our students at every competition!

OUR CLASSES

✨ TINY TOTS

In our Tiny Tots classes your child will receive fun and personalized classes that will build your little stars confidence and friendships. Classes will include games and activities to engage students as we as special recognition certificates and stickers when your child achieves a selected skill or goal. The little stars will receive a lovely medallion handed out at the end of year concert.

✨ THEATRICAL (JAZZ)

Learn in a fun and energetic class that will showcase a dancers' individual style and originality in a team environment. The styles you will uncover during these classes will incorporate variety and you will learn and find you passion for dance. Unique moves, technical execution, big leaps, quick turns, performance quality and team work. If your child has a passion for these styles, this class is for you!

✨ LYRICAL/CONTEMPORARY

In this style you will focus on developing strength and control while exploring a soft lyrical or abstract contemporary form of movement. There are strong elements of Ballet and Jazz combined in this expressive and versatile genre of dance.

✨ CLASSICAL BALLET (RAD SYLLABUS)

A traditional technique that will build and develop your strength and control to give you the ability to perform with precision and grace. The style of dance you would see organisations like the Australian Ballet perform.

✨ TAP (TAPATAK SYLLABUS)

In Tap you will learn to tap out the rhythm of the music wearing special shoes that are fitted with metal plates on both toes and heels to create sound. Tap focuses on musicality and is a fun and energetic dance style.

✨ HIP HOP

During our Hip-Hop classes you will learn fun upbeat and fun street dances. This cool style of movement incorporates many street techniques including House, Funk and Popping, Locking and Beak.

✨ ACROBATICS

Our acrobatics classes help develop flexibility, balance, strength, muscle control and concentration. The class equips the active, tumbling kid who goes crazy on the trampoline or looks to you-tube for they latest moves. Our students love mastering handstands, cartwheels, walkovers, tumbling and other athletic skills in a reassuring, safe environment.

Our Journey

Locally Tasmanian, Cosmic Dance is a growing Performing Arts School situated in Moonah. We offer a range of dance classes from our littlest of 15 month old dancers, through to our pre-professional stars of stage and screen.

We provide a loving & nurturing unique family-based environment that caters for dancers of all ages and abilities. From dance for fun, friends and fitness, through to the serious performer pursuing competition training, we can cater for you.

We have a dream to teach more than just dance steps but to create a love for dance and a passion for the arts in every Cosmic Dance student. We bring the magic of make believe from the studio to the stage.

With over 21 years of performing experience, Cosmic Dance is an expert at developing your child's confidence, discipline, coordination and love of dance! All our teachers hold relevant qualifications, dance training, and are well-known in the Tasmanian Dance Community.

We are committed to providing high-quality dance classes to enhance the over all development of each child. We provide a safe and child-centred environment to encourage our students to explore dance and the performing arts with experienced, nurturing teachers.
