WHAT WE OFFER?

• Kids Karate Classes

Watch as your kids improve their skills, such as coordination, fitness and confidence as they move up the ladder with the art of karate. Your child will upgrade through different coloured belts so your child can have a physical signifier of their achievements. Switching from white to yellow belt can in turn boost your child’s confidence as they can see how they’re improving their skills.

Our qualified karate instructors will teach children the beginnings of karate and help them build their skills into an expert level. Other than its fantastic fitness benefits, our karate lessons also act as a great way to get kids socialising. You’ll be able to introduce your child to others with similar interests, and help them get that much-needed social fix.

• Traditional Weapons

Okinawan kobudō is a Japanese term that can be translated as “old martial way of Okinawa.

Okinawan kobudō refers to the weapon systems of Okinawan martial arts. These systems can have from one to as many as a dozen weapons in their curriculum, among the rokushakubo (six foot staff, known as the “bō”), sai (dagger-shaped truncheon), tonfa (handled club), kama (sickle), and nunchaku (chained sticks), but also the tekko (steelknuckle), tinbe-rochin (shield and spear), and surujin (weighted chain). Less common Okinawan weapons include the tambo (short stick), the hanbō (middle length staff) and the eku (boat oar of traditional Okinawan design).
